This is the landing site for Claire Laville, Visiting Assistant Professor of English at Emory University. At the moment, I am teaching three sections of expository writing with the theme “Technology and the Senses.”

Previous classes: Inventing Languages, summer 2014; American Literature as a Human Experiment, spring 2014; Introduction to Poetry, Spring 2013; Writing about Literature: “Sinister Children,” Spring 2011; Expository Writing: “Privacy,” Fall 2010. I’ve worked as a teaching assistant in the English Department, the Program in Linguistics, and for the Laney Graduate School. I also help maintain Stop the Cuts at Emory.
